TIME PERIOD
The time period in this novel is a very rough time in US history were many life's were lost. It all happened in the 1830's, When people were put up onto a stage and bidden on people to be used to do other peoples work like farming this sad part in our history was called the slave trade. Huck and his friends have to go through many adventures good and bad to get through this hard time of their lifes.
HOW DOES THE PERSPECTIVE/POINT OF VIEW OF NARRATOR INFLUENCE THE STORY?
I really enjoy how the story is told in 1st person and makes you have a better under standing on the book and the main characters emontions durning it too. Since this book is told in 1st person, It has affected me to start writing my stories the same way

CHAPTER 12-16
WHAT IS THE STORY OF SOLOMON AND HIS CHILD AND HOW DOES JIM INTERPRET THAT STORY?
Durning the book Two women came to him with one baby, and they both claimed that they were the mother.Solomon was known to be very wise.He suggested cutting the baby in half, and Jim thought this story was very foolish and that it never happened
WHAT DOES JIM'S REACTION TO HUCK TELL US?
Jim was offended by the prank that Huck pulled on him, and this shows that Jim considers Huck a friend and cares about him. I think Jim is a very nice man because of the way he cares about Huck, but he is also uneducated so he may not understand Huck's "humor"

Huck Finn Discussion Questions (Chap. 22-26)
1.) At the very end of chapter 22 we see the handbill that the king and the duke will pass out. The duke says “if that line don’t fetch them, I don’t know Arkansaw!” Why would the line at the bottom of the handbill work to get people into the play?
at the bottom of the handbook was, "Low-Brow Comedy Show! XXX!" this line takes an important part in the book because it insures people that nothing bad is going to happen. Then The king and the duke perform their "Shakespeare" which turns put really bad because no one seemed to like it.
2.) Towards the end of chapter 23 we see this line: “What was the use to tell Jim these warn’t real kings and dukes? It wouldn’t a done no good; and besides, it was just as I said; you couldn’t tell them from the real kind.”
Well he doesn't think by telling jim will give him an advantage while talking to The King and the duke therefor being fake wouldn't make the matters even better. this also would make jim really upset.
3.) The final line in chapter 24 reads: “It was enough to make a body ashamed of the human race.” What is Huck talking about? What does it tell us (the reader) about Huck that he feels this way?
He feels this way because they are playing the dead mans brothers. then after go around and make a big deal about it. the duke is playing one of the dead brothers and he is a deaf mute. Huck feels this way about it them making a body ashamed of the human race because the king and the duke are playing the parts.
4.) In chapter 25 we meet the doctor. How does the doctor know that the king and the duke are a fraud?
The doctor was aware that the king and duke were a fraud because he notice that their british accent was wayyy off so he desides to call him out on it and catches them lying.
5.) The king and the duke consider leaving in the middle of the night with the money (chapter 26). Why don’t they?
The king and the duke deside to leave and take all the money with them and Huck feels bad for the family because the child has a birth defect, so he wants to help them get their money back.

Huck Finn Discussion Questions (Chap. 27-30)
1.) Why did people stay up with the dead during this time period? (Chapter 27)
Because they wanted to keep the insects away from attacking the dead. Funneral homes didn't exist yet so people had to surround the body and watch it so the bugs wouldn't eat it
2.) What do we learn (or reaffirm) about Huck when he tells Miss Mary Jane the slaves will see their family again in inside of two weeks? (Chapter 28)

3.) What were the two methods the townspeople used to try to identify who the brothers were and who the frauds were? (Chapter 29)

Huck Finn Discussion Questions (Chap. 31-35)
1.) Huck is disappointed that Tom would help him steal Jim. He says “Tom Sawyer fell, considerable, in my estimation. Only I couldn’t believe it. Tom Sawyer a nigger stealer!” What do you think of this? (Chapter 33)
Huck says two things at the end of chapter 33:
“Human beings can be awful cruel to one another." “But that’s always the way: it don’t make no difference whether you do right or wrong, a person’s conscience ain’t got no sense, and just goes for him anyway.”
2.)What does Huck mean by these two statements?
3.) Why are Tom and Huck looking for a more difficult way to break Jim free? (Chapter 34)

Huck Finn Discussion Questions (Chap. 41-end)
1.) Towards the end of chapter 41: “And then when I went up to bed, she come up with me, and fetched her candle, and tucked me in, and mothered me so good I felt mean and like I couldn’t look her in the face”. Why does Huck feel this way?
At almost the end of the book, Huck ran into Uncle Silas in town, while on his way to find the doctor for Tom to help his leg. The uncle then made up a story and then him and huck left. but the surpising thing is that everyone believed it. Untill aunt sally followed him to his room and tucked him into bed. But he barely could look into her eyes because he knew that he was in a lot of danger and pain. You also could tell that he was hurting hurting himself but he rather do that then making things better with his family and friends

- In chapter 42 we hear the doctor’s account of his experience treating Tom: “so I says, I got have help, somehow; and the minute I says it, out crawls this nigger from somewheres, and says he’ll help; and he done it too, and done it very well.” Can we come to an understanding about Jim from this? What do we learn about him?
- What do we learn about Tom from what he says when he wakes up after being treated for the gunshot wound (Chapter 42)?
- You’ve finished the novel: Tell me, in three to four sentences, what you think of Huck.
